« One who is unhappy is one who cannot sing » [ Egyptian proverb ]

The main objective of the choir ensemble “les Amicroches” is to combine the pleasure of singing with quality. We strive to do this by our choice of songs and our interpretations of them.
The repertoire views the magic universe of Negro spirituals, with the romanticism of Franz Schubert, while playing the Russian liturgy and the large airs of jazz, with some new arrangements. They are directed by Franck Verschuren and are regularly accompanied by their friend Myriam Gilson, who is trained by Jose van Dam and whose talent is reflected in her beautiful voice.
Each representation is meant to be a real moment of pleasure. The connection of scenes with the public is obvious. "Les Amicroches" also performs in the most unusual concert places. Besides performing in Churches with the enhanced acoustics there, the concerts take place in the caves of Han, in theatre workshops, in the middle of the vineyards of Pomerol, at different locations in Tuscany, at the Academy of Brussels with more than 200 performers, in the Museum of the Musical Instruments, and at the Rock festival of Villers-la-Ville accompanying the Balimurphy musical group.
Michel Deon once said, “to like a country, it is necessary to eat it, drink it and to sing there together” and that is exactly what “les Amicroches” did last year when they toured Chianti, Bordelais and Burgundy, and hopefully do again next year with a performance in Porto!
Some dates to remember...
